![]() ![]() When you use the vehicle body designer, and it asks you to save, that's to save a file for you to reuse your body design in future games. Maybe the game's not ready, or maybe an export system of some kind is planned to build a central library for future games. Would be nice to have option to export the data so the car designer can handle it out of the game.Īnyhow, seems like it would be a good way to build up a library of stock models over time. While I think you can do it in the car designer (not sure, haven't used it for a while), if it saves designs permanently, then maybe an alternate solution if the full file can't be rewritten in-game. An hour in, and making something you know you'd want to re-use and being unable to is sort of sad. Sometimes the mood hits, and I find myself really getting into a design, since it's a nice change of pace from the number crunching. I wouldn't want to do this with every car, but a perma save option would be nice for those that you really get involved with detailing out. Not sure if this is simply due to the ongoing changes, or if it would be difficult, but it would be really nice. Maybe tie the appearance to the year the components normally get introduced, or the design year, in terms of when it would show up. It's frustrating to put a lot of effort into a cool car, in an inspired moment, and then know you'll never see it again. Would make it a lot easier to find later, and identify cars which are mostly the same, but which I want to keep the blueprints for, or have look different in the show room. ![]() "Please save your vehicle, the base design is Berliner", This way I could look at that and name it Berliner Red, or something similar, for a simple change. It would be nice to see the base design in the save text. Of course, by the time that's done, I've usually forgotten what the original name for the design was. When you modify a vehicle, even something simple like changing the paint, you are asked to save it. The car design screen asks you to name the model when you've built it. ![]()
